The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Adamawa State have threatened to sanction any PDP member of the state House of Assembly, who backs down from current efforts to impeach both Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy Bala Ngillari.
The stakeholders handed the warning following media reports that the governor and the 20 PDP lawmakers met in Abuja during the week and amicably resolved their differences.
The spokesman of the PDP Elders and Stakeholder’s Forum and a former governorship aspirant on the platform of PDP, Dr. Umar Ardo, speaking to reporters yesterday in Yola, the state capital, said that the impeachment saga is a PDP affair and any lawmaker, within the party’s fold who retraces his step will be sanctioned.
