West Ham Confirm Valencia Move, Subject to Permit Hearing

West Ham have signed Ecuador striker Enner Valencia from Mexican club Pachuca.

Valencia has penned a five-year deal reportedly worth £12m at Upton Park subject to a work permit.

Valencia, who impressed during the 2014 Fifa World Cup, would become manager Sam Allardyce’s fifth signing of the summer, after Mauro Zarate, Aaron Cresswell, Cheikhou Kouyate and Diego Poyet.

Valencia scored all three of Ecuador’s goals in Brazil, were they lost out in the group stages.

The Boleyn Ground outfit beat a number of interest from Premier League sides to the 25-year-old’s penmanship.

Valencia has seven goals in 13 Ecuador caps.
