Ebola: Kogi Designates State Specialist Hospital In Lokoja Isolation Centre

ebolaA part of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital in Lokoja, the state capital, has been designated as an isolation centre to handle any likely outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information, Hajia Zainab Okino, yesterday in Lokoja after the weekly State Executive Council (Exco) meeting.

The commissioner said though there had not been any reported case of the disease in the state, the government was not taking any chances on the matter.

Mrs Okino, however, urged the people of the state to maintain a high standard of hygiene, adding that the government was working hard to ensure that the state does not have an outbreak of the disease.
