Teacher And Student In Trouble After Fight Video Goes Viral

A high school teacher from Baltimore has been placed on administrative leave and a student is facing charges after a fight broke out inside the school, according to WBALTV 11.

The fight occurred Friday at Carver Vocational-Technical High School in West Baltimore, Md., after a verbal exchange turned into a boxing match, the report says. School investigators are trying to figure out whether or not the teacher acted immaturely or if she was provoked by the student, who reportedly instigated the fight.

In the fight video, the teacher is captured wearing a light-colored shirt talking on her cell phone, going after a female student. The teacher can be heard screaming in the video, “I’ll kill you in here,” along with some expletives. According to multiple sources, the teacher can be seen on video using her phone to call for help with the student before the fight happened, reports noted.

Another student recorded the incident from a different angle, which captured the teacher grabbing the student and body slamming her into the school lockers. The teacher was so angry with the student, she grabbed her hair and didn’t let go, notes the news station.

One parent was disgusted with the teacher’s actions. “She got a job to do,” former Carver parent Gloria Talley, told the news station. “That’s what she gets paid to do is to teach, not to fight. She’s supposed to act professional, not like a student or like a young hopper or something. Carver school is more professional than that. I don’t understand why they got that going on in there.”

If you watch all of the footage, you can clearly see the student was very agressive. Sources told 11 News that inside the classroom before things spilled out into the hallway, the class was taking a test, and the teacher told the student to get off her phone or she would have to stop the test.
