CAN, PFN To Pray In Benin Over Boko Haram, Elections

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have concluded plans to hold an inter-denominational service in Benin City where prayers will be offered for the country, as tension heightens ahead of the 2015 elections. Prayers will also be said to stop the wanton destruction of lives and property by the Boko Haram.

The service is tagged, ‘The great Christian Festival, will hold on November 27.

Men of God expected at the inter-denominational service include Catholic Arch Bishop of Benin, Arch Bishop Augustine Akubueze; President of PFN, Rev.Dr Felix Omobude; Edo State Chairman of CAN, Rt Rev. Peter Imasuen; Bishop Fred Addo, Bishop Mon Igbinosa, Rev. Father Alfred Agbonlahon, and many others, are expected at the event.

BokoHaram insurgency has led to the death of thousands, but the spate of attacks has worsened in recent times and it calls for action. With the efforts of the government to stop the menace proving abortive, several religious bodies have been organising gatherings aimed at praying for the country’s peace and security.

  1. Please pray if that will stop all this madness in this country.Also pray for your leaders most especially the ones @ the seat of Government right now and the ones to come in the future,that God should reign in their affairs.
