Nuray Sacan of Turkey, is accused of killing her son after cosmetic surgery did not make him look better. The woman took her son for cosmetic surgery because his ears were very big and she wanted them to be proportionate and less prominent.
The 10-year-old boy had plastic surgery at the Gazi Hospital in Ankara, but she was not happy with the results. The mother is accused of taking her son to the hospital bathroom and strangling him with her scarf. She then fled the hospital in her car, but she was arrested after she got into an accident with another vehicle. Sacan allegedly confessed to the murder while she was being transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
“Both his ears become even larger after the surgery,” she said according to police. “He was very ugly and he would have felt even more embarrassed in front of his friends. I did it to save him from the embarrassment,” she added. The mother said that her son was often bullied because the size of his ears. “I was trying to protect him from a lifetime of pain,” she said.
