Solomon Arase has been confirmed as the Inspector General of Police by the Nigeria police council.
Arase was appointed as the acting IGP following the sack of former IGP Sulaiman Abba last month.
Speaking with state House Correspondents after meeting with President Jonathan, Abba promised that no Nigerian would suffer injustice under his watch.
He also promised to ensure he brings crime rate down to the barest minimum through strategies and inputs expected of his men at this time.
Arase also promised not to renege on his earlier commitment towards ensuring road block free highways in Nigeria.
