Mikel Obi, Moses, In Eagles Squad For Congo, Cameroon Friendlies

Head coach of the Nigeria senior men’s national team, Sunday Oliseh, has recalled midfielder John Mikel Obi, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, forwards Victor Moses and Odion Ighalo for next month’s international friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon in Belgium.

Wolverhampton Wanderers shot stopper, Carl Ikeme, joins the Super Eagles skipper, who missed out on international assignment last month due to personal reasons, after his impressive debut against Tanzania and the Niger Republic.

Oliseh has included the likes of Chima Akas, Austin Oboroakpo, Paul Onobi and Prince Aggreh among the invited stars from the domestic league, as former Under-17 international Abdullahi Shehu gets his first senior call-up.

Nigeria face the Leopards of Congo on 8 October and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon three days later, both in Belgium, in an international friendly.

All invited players are expected to arrive in Belgium on Monday, 5 October.
