Police Engages Hunters To Boost Security In Ogun

local huntersThe Ogun State Police Command has enlisted the services of hunters to bolster the fight against crime in the Gateway State.

The command’s spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated this while addressing hunters at the Odeda Divisional Police Headquarters on Saturday.

The police spokesperson explained that the step was a collaborative measure aimed at effective policing in the state, adding that other relevant sectors would be incorporated into the security network of the state.

Adejobi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, said a serious police formation would not jettison or underrate the role of hunters in intelligence gathering and effective policing of its community.

He reiterated the readiness and commitment of the state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, to embrace all sectors and stakeholders in security business in the state towards having a safer environment for the people.

Adejobi, therefore, assured the hunters of adequate support and protection in all areas provided they (hunters) remain law-abiding and operate within the ambit of the law.
