An Austrian radio station has punished one of its DJs after he barricaded himself in the studio and played Wham!’s Last Christmas 24 times in a row. It was only when the DJ’s daughter called to beg him to stop because the song was making everyone “mad” that he finished his one-song marathon.
Timm Bodner, programming chief of the station Antenne Kaernten, in the province of Carinthia, said the DJ played the prank on his listeners last Friday.

“In general, it was funny but there must be consequences,” he said. “As a consequence he will have to work tomorrow on Christmas [Eve] and on New Year’s Eve.”
