The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has lampooned the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for saying that those criticisng President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies are “hack writers” sponsored to distract the government.
The Minister had while speaking at a meeting with Abuja bureau chiefs of newspapers on Tuesday, said the plan of those attacking the All Progressives Congress-led federal government was to distract the administration and make it lose focus.
However, the PDP in series of tweets on Tuesday argued that Nigerians have the right to criticize and hold the government accountable, urging Mr. Mohammed to come to terms with the reality of his new position.
Lai Mohammed requires training to become responsible. He is yet to come to terms with the reality of his new position.
