President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday felicitated with Rev Dr Felix Omobude, the National President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and General Superintendent, Gospel Light International Ministries, on his 70th birthday anniversary, which is today, Monday.
Buhari, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, saluted Omobude’s vision, charisma and strength of character “which have seen him dutifully fulfil his pastoral calling over the years, largely demonstrated in his love for a united and prosperous Nigeria”.
The president, the statement said, also commended the cleric’s invaluable contribution to nation building and development through his teachings and exemplary leadership “which continue to inspire many of his followers and admirers to work hard and improve their communities”.
“As family, friends and well-wishers gather to celebrate this important milestone and Dr Omobude’s extraordinary achievements, the president uses this opportunity to remind religious leaders and all in positions of public trust of our shared responsibility in the fight against corruption and other ills confronting our society”, he said.
Adesina said Pesident Buhari prayed that Omobude enjoy more years of health and fulfilment in his service to God and humanity.
