An expectant mother and her five years old daughter were crushed to death when an old building suddenly caved in on them in Onifufu/Aderupaba neigbourhood at Oke-Ijeun area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The pregnant woman was taking her children, Ganiyat and Ganiyu to school in the morning today when the incident happened. Ganiyu was the only surviving of the three as he was already ahead of them at the time of the incident.

She was identified as Kafayat Somoye and her daughter, Ganiyat, were passing by the building when it went over them.
Although the victims were pulled out and rushed to the State General Hopistal, Ijaye, Abeokuta, the victims were said to have died on the way.
