N/Delta Militants Fulfilling Pre-Election Vow To Destabilize Nigeria If Buhari Wins – Sen. Adamu

Abdullahi-AdamuFormer Governor of Nasarawa State now senator representing Nasarawa West, Abdullahi Adamu, has described the recent spate of destruction of oil installations by militant groups in the Niger Delta as grand plan to weaken Nigeria economically and destabilize the country.
The Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, the militant group that has claimed the bombing of major oil and gas installations in the region, has vowed to sustain its nefarious activities until it brings Nigeria to its knees.
The group has also rejected the federal government’s offer of dialogue, insisting on self-rule for the Niger Delta people.
Speaking yesterday in Keffi, while fielding questions from reporters at the opening of the 7th Ramadan Symposium organized by the Nasarawa State University, Senator Adamu (Sarkin Yakin Keffi) called on Nigerians to unite and stand behind President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration against divisive tactics.
“The whole thing is hate mind fixation, the people who are doing this have said it before now that if Jonathan did not win election because he is their own, they will destabilize the government, they said it and it was published in papers and a lot of media carried it”, the Senate Committee Chairman on Agriculture said.
“What they are doing now, yes, Jonathan has lost. Nigerians who voted for Buhari have no regret for Jonathan’s loss and I want to tell in my little way as a Nigerian, as Senator of the Federal Republic that the federal government is only being restrained by the interest of the innocent”.
