Court Vacates Order Sealing National Hospital

national-hospital-abujaA Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja yesterday vacated the order which sealed the National Hospital on Tuesday.

The hospital was sealed for alleged unpaid debt of N7.8million to the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB).

In vacating the order, the Magistrate, Mrs Chinyere Nwacheonwu, adjourned the case till July 18 for report of settlement.

The defence counsel, Chris Mamman, had made an oral application for settlement and vacation of the order.

Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Nnamdi Ugochukwu, had told the court that the AEPB sought and obtained an order to seal the hospital after the defendant failed to appear in court on June 8, in defiance of a summon on May 17.
