On Saturday, about Six farmers were reportedly killed in Godogodo village of Jemaa local government in Kaduna State on Saturday.

According to a source, armed Fulani men attacked the farmers at their farms. Some escaped, a few with bullet wounds.

A search party on Sunday found the killed farmers ridden with bullets and machete cuts.

Dr. Haruna Usman, the chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), said he was not aware there was an attack by herdsmen on Godogodo.

Dr. Usman said he is however aware that there was a conflict between some farmers and herdsmen in Godogodo on June 26, where one of the herdsmen injured a farmer and the youths of the village mobilised the next day and went and burnt down the Fulani settlement in the area.

The Police haven’t made any comments yet regarding the alleged attack.
