Girl Calls 911 After Parents ‘Forced Her’ To Vacation With Them

Emergency-911

A teenager in Canada has been cautioned by police after she called 911 saying her “parents forced her to go on vacation with them” in Trent Hills, Ontario Police confirmed Saturday.

According to Ontario Police Constable Stephen Bates, had a similar case last Tuesday when officers responded to an emergency call feom a 15-year-old only to find out there was “no real emergency”.

Bates said, “This appeared to be a case of a teenager being a teenager. Although she perceived this as a real issue, it was not an appropriate use of 911.

Ontario police confirmed that the girl was safe, and interviewed all occupants to confirm that it was just a family vacation.

Calls such as this tie up police resources which could impact the safety of others in the community who are in real need of assistance,” Bates said.
