On this day in 2015;Worried by incessant mass failure of candidates in examinations in Nigeria, West African Examination Council, WAEC, challenged the Federal Government to review the nation’s education policy to create a comparable standard among the 36 states.

Also on this day in 2015;Two out of the 27 states that applied to Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for financial bailout,  Zamfara and Kwara, have received disbursement of funds to pay workers outstanding salaries.

And on this day in 2014;Former President Goodluck Jonathan,challenged public office holders to strive to be recognised by the quality of service they rendered while in office rather than the position they held, describing the late former Information Minister, Prof. Dora Akunyili, as a patriotic Nigerian who had no rivalry in service.
