Egypt Donates Books To Ilorin School

 

The Arab Republic of Egypt, has donated some research books and magazines  to the Darulkitab College, Ilorin, Kwara State, in a bid to boost education in the country.

It noted that the educational materials would greatly assist students of the institution and others in their quest for productive research and intellectual development, a statement on Friday by the Press and Information Officer of the Embassy of Egypt in Nigeria, Mr. Ahmed Maher, explained.

The donation comprises 55 Al-Azhar magazines issued by the Al-Azhar institution and 100 African perspective books donated by the State Information Service of Egypt.

The statement added that Maher, who handed over the materials to the proprietor of the school, Dr. Abdul Salman, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Egyptian Embassy in Abuja,  described the books as credible moral instruction manuals.

It further said that Salman commended the Egyptian government for the donation, adding that the materials would be distributed to scholars and students of the college.

It read,” Recently, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Tayyib, visited Nigeria, where he promised 10 scholarships to indigent persons living in the Internally Displaced Persons Camps in Abuja.”
