Talented screen diva, Sylvia Emem recorded yet another feat with the private premiere of her latest movie, “Sandcastle” which held at Raddison Blu, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, July 9. The actress who debuted as a producer in 2016 with IMA was on hand to receive her guests who were wowed by the touch of rare class she gave the event.
Celebrities such as Wale Ojo, Emem Isong, Patrick Doyle, Mary Uranta, Byran Opara, Charles Okocha, Ushebebe, Mimi Ojiakor, Mr Isichei Osamgbi, Head, Public Relations, NIMASA, Henry Uranta, Chidi Nwokeabia, Bassey Okon, Sapphire Ogodo, Sophia Williams, Praiz Sam Organ and many others lite up the red carpet to the delight of the paparazzi. Guests were ushered into the buffet area immediately after the red carpet. Food and dessert were sufficient to go round everybody present at the premiere, champagne, exotic wines and fruit juices were in excess supply.
Sandcastle is a romantic thriller. The movie which was directed by Edward Ukah, not only provides entertainment but also lends a voice to the plight of the physically challenged in the society, the visually impaired in this case. Sylvia plays the role of Timi, a young blind girl who finds favour in the eyes of a prominent man Ayade, Wale Ojo. Esosa-Mary Uranta, upwardly mobile lady and every man’s dream, yet not satisfied tries to compete for the attention of Ayade, the blind girl’s love interest.
Shot under Mary Uranta’s 50th Films, on her own part, was excited. It was the weekend of her birthday and she was joined my her colleagues to cut her birthday cake. That moment was one of the highpoint of the evening.
‘This is a movie everyone should watch, it touches on the heart and soul of marriages and keeping the fire of romance ablaze. I am confident this movie will do well at the cinemas,“said the producer of Sandcastle Sylvia Edem.
The movie opened in cinema nationwide on Friday, July 14. Sylvia and other cast of the movie including Mary Uranta, Charles Okocha, Shirley Igwe, Big Brother Naija contestants Kemen and Bassey will be at the cinema to meet and interact with fans who buy tickets for “Sandcastle”.
