Senator Ben Murray Bruce says the federal government’s war against banditry and terrorism should be channeled towards fight ignorance – As ignorance, is the symptom of the above two.

The federal lawmaker says “ignorance is the real enemy”, and because history isn’t taught in schools, the younger generation tend to repeat what the older generation.

Speaking via a tweet on Thursday evening, the Senator representing Bayelsa East lamented over the fact that history isn’t taught in schools, therefore making it easy for them to repeat it.

His words: The Nigeria government think the war is against terrorists and criminals. But I assure them that is just the symptom of the war. The real enemy is ignorance. We don’t even teach history in schools. Don’t our leaders know that those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it?
