A fake soldier has been nabbed by the police team in Uvwie local government area of Delta state. The officers were led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Ibok Asamanyi, to nab the army who had for a while been pretending to be an Army Major.
The suspect whose name was given as Blessing Emelor, was arrested, in Warri.
Nemesis caught up with him on this fateful day when he gave an unsuspecting junior Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel to shoot almost causing the loss of life of a passerby.
The incident was immediately reported causing police authority to arrest the suspect.
ASP Chuks Orisewezie, the state’s police spokesman via a statement revealed that for 3 years, the suspect had to fake his status as an army officer.
The suspect has since confessed to the crime and is now being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Asaba. He will aslo be charged to court soon.
