A Nigerian soldier has been nabbed for the rape of a young girl.
According to report, the soldier raped the girl in the presence of her parents and also tried forcing the girl’s brother to have sex with her.
The soldier whose name has been given as Private Akhigbe Tijjani, attached to 27 Taskforce Brigade, was arrested by police officers in Yobe State.
Daily Trust reveals that the suspect, Tijjani, was on a cordon-and-search operation when he found his way into the girl’s house and raped her.
The officer also reportedly forced the girl’s brother to have sex with her but he refused causing him to hit the boy on the head with a pestle.
A colleague who was also on duty with the soldier, however, reported him which prompted them to dismiss him.
