Ogun police arrest man who allegedly butchered his father to death

A young man whose name has been given as Babatunde Olagesin has been arrested by the Ogun state police command for allegedly killing his father, Taiwo Olagesin.

Reports have it that Olagesin murdered his father with a cutlass following a disagreement at their residence in the Ijoko area of Ogun state on Monday May 6th.

Trouble started after Babatunde informed his father that he was on his way out to Oshodi at about 6am on the said day

His dad, however, refused to allow him go out as they had to be somewhere together. Taiwo then went on to lock all the doors leading outside the premises so he could stop his son from going out.

An argument ensued which resulted in father and son fighting before Taiwo pulled out a cutlass to scare his son and in the process of trying to collect the weapon from his dad cut his dad open.

Neigbours immediately alerted the police from the Agbado division and got Babatunde arrested.

Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirming the incident said the case would soon be charged to court.
