President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the immediate implementation of the N30,000 new minimum wage for Federal Civil Servant currently earning less than the approved wage.
According to Richard Egbule, the chairman of National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission, who made the revelation while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, said the approval takes effect from April 18, 2019, and will affect the salary of government agencies under five salary structures.

His words:
“The negotiations between the Federal Government and the joint National Public Service Negotiating Council on the consequential adjustment arising from the new minimum wage for officers who earn above N30,000 would continue.
“The outcome of such negotiations will be implemented with effect from the date an agreement is reached.”

Great news.. Although i benefited but trust me, with the prices of goods and services in the country one can hardly feel the increased minimum wage.
