Ministerial Screening: Naira Doing ‘Okay’ At The Moment — Nominee

One of the ministerial nominees screened by the Senate on Wednesday said the Naira is not doing bad at the moment.

Uchechukwu Ogar, said this while responding to questions ranging from petroleum to banking and industry as he responded to lawmakers.

Ogar, when asked whether the naira is undervalued or overvalued, said the naira is “okay.”

He also criticised the over-dependence of the whole nation on federal allocations, while also stressing the need to have modular refineries, which according to him, will stabilise the nation’s source of income.
