Precious Owolabi, the Channels Television reporter who was shot yesterday during the mayhem between Shiite members and men of the Nigerian police force on Monday in Abuja has been confirmed dead.

According to Ijeoma Onyeator, a Channels Television newscaster, who broke the news during the 10 pm news hour on Monday, said the bullet-ridden reporter died on his way to the hospital.

Until his demise, he was said to be a member of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) and was only serving with the television house.
