No fewer than 5 soldiers attached to the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, have been nabbed for allegedly raping a student of Adekunle Ajasin University.
According to reports, the student was rapped at the popular Owo junction while heading back home from the school in a commercial bus.
The bus, which was conveying passengers including the victim, was said to have been flagged down by the soldiers at a military checkpoint and the girl asked to come down.
The driver of the bus was reportedly asked to leave without the girl.

However, trouble started when the girl showed up after an hour with claims that she was raped.
Resident doctors at Ondo State Specialist Hospital have confirmed the rape after series of test was carried out on the victim.
Confirming the arrest of the soldiers, the commanding officer of the division, Brigade Commander Zakari Abubakar, said:
“It is very true that they (the soldiers) have been arrested. We have commenced our investigation,”
