Police Reveal Identities Of Its Officers Killed By Soldiers

The names and photographs of the three officers shot dead by soldiers in Taraba state have been revealed by the police.

Police spokesperson, Frank Mba, in his announcement on Wednesday revealed how some soldiers killed the police officers along Ibi-Jalingo road in the state by opening fire on them.

The deceased were said to have gone to Taraba to arrest one suspect simply identified as Hamisu — “indicted in a series of high-profile kidnap incidents in the state. ”

According to police, the policemen killed are Sergeant Usman Danzumi, Sergeant Dahiru Musa, and Sergeant Mark Ediale, an inspector.

Mba added that the suspect was free by the soldiers after opening fire on the policemen but army authorities held that the soldiers mistook the policemen for kidnappers.
