Speculations were rift following the disappearance and reappearance of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s Twitter account between Friday night and Saturday morning.
The account which had completely vanished from the microblogging platform Friday, reappeared on Saturday with the verification badge, over 2000 tweets and profile photo missing.
However reacting to the situation, Laolu Akande, the spokesperson of the Vice President attributed it to external forces, adding that the situation will soon be resolved.

He wrote via Twitter thus: Yesterday, there were failed external attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Vice President’s Twitter Account. Since, we have been in contact with Twitter, securing the account, and forestalling a reoccurrence. The VP will continue to actively communicate with our citizens.
