Supreme Court To Hear Lyon’s Appeal Tuesday

The supreme court has fixed Tuesday for hearing of the application filed by David Lyon, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Bayelsa state.

Festus Akande, spokesman of the supreme court, confirmed the development, TheCable reports.

“Yes it is true. The appeal of Baysela will also be held that day (Tuesday),” he said over the phone.

This comes barely 48 hours after Douye Diri, Lyon’s PDP rival, was sworn in as governor of Bayelsa.

The Supreme court had sacked Lyon on the grounds that Biobarakuma Degi-Eriemienyo, his running mate, presented forged certificate.

I don’t even know what type of judiciary we have in Nigeria, how can you sack the Governor because of his Deputy, you can sack the deputy and order the party to produce new as seen in Bauchi state 1999. But due to the power you had you just makes the judgement without looking into it. And thinks of the it’s consequences. Now look at what you have caused because of your idiot actions, even you safe has to face trial.

Comment: I just imaging that supreme Court in Nigeria don’t even care about precedent Adamu muazu case is the same with Lyon but the head of the judges is biase her husband is a party man and she work according to directive not mind the consequences and forget about integrity anyway please the judiciary should note that people voted for party as the case may be and not deputy with bayelsas case judiciary in this nation is not sincere .

  3. Comment:we need peace. Bayelsa are tired of being a slaves they want to be free. We don’t need blood shard, we need peace. For peace to rain in Bayelsa state please give the people who they want. Let’s con ceder the innocent people, the poor, please we are pleading with the Judges in Nigeria please do your work with mercy we need our Governor David Lyon because he can help Bayelsa’s. He is not after Bayelsa state Money he wants to the best for us Bayelsa….
