Nigerian award-winning artiste, Davido has revealed he worked hard to carve a niche in the music industry.
It is no news that the Adeleke family are one of the most influential and wealthy family in Nigeria.
According to Davido, most rich kids don’t feel the need to work hard because of the wealth already acquired by their parents.
The singer made this remark in a new interview where he revealed he was really broke at a point in his life.
However, he was able to reach the top and earn his name through hard work and not because of his father’s influence which many believe.
The father of three admitted that his dad still paid his dues and he also recounted that his mum died when he was just 11 years old and by then, he knew what he needed to do.
Davido said the cycle in his family was to go to school, graduate and work for his father but he had to push to become the singer he is, thus defying all odds.
