
Popular human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the resignation of former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai.
On Tuesday, Buratai and his fellow service chiefs tendered their resignations to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adeyanju reacted to this development on his Twitter page by calling for the prosecution of the former Chief of Army Staff over extrajudicial killings during his tenure.
He announced that he would be writing to the International Criminal Court, European Union and other international authorities to issue arrest warrant for Buratai.
He wrote:
“We are writing ICC, US, Uk, EU & the international community in the morning to issue arrest warrant against Buratai for all the extrajudicial killings under him as COAS since 2015. Actions must have consequences. #BurataiToICC”
