Herders Crisis: Ooni Replies Sunday Igboho

Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, has reacted to the statement credited to Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho describing him as Fulani slave.

The first-class monarch, on Thursday, described the comment of Igboho as irresponsible.

The media aide to the Ooni, Moses Olafare reacted while speaking with Premium Times.

He noted that the monarch is not ready to engage Igboho formally on the matter but will take up the threat issued to the monarch.

The monarch in his reaction on Thursday said no true Yoruba son or daughter would speak like Igboho, adding that his actions cast doubt on his true intention in his “self-saddled responsibility of defending the Yorubas.”

The Ooni’s spokesman, Olafare, said Igboho was going overboard in his conduct and that he should not believe that he is bigger than the authorities.
