"Don't Live For Applause From Social Media," Simi Advises

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simisola Ogunleye Kosoko, alias Simi has shared an important piece of advice.

The “Duduke” singer shared on her Instagram Story that living for applause from social media is not what is important in life.

The mother of one also shared a tweet from American rapper The Game that reads:

Let’s normalize being normal. You don’t need a Chanel bag or a BBL to be considered beautiful & feel like you’re more of a woman. And my n**ggas, working a regular job & driving a cool lil whip is still cool af to me…stop letting this social media sh*t f**k y’all heads up!!!”

Agreeing with the tweet, she added:

As long as you’re a good person, you work hard, take care of your mama and daddy as well as you can, are a good friend, have good friends, are content, mean well and keep learning – you’re good. They say do what makes you happy” but a lot of people are doing what makes social media happy. Don’t do it!”
