DSS Picks Up Gumi’s Spokesman Tukur Mamu At Kano Airport

The Department of State Services (DSS) has picked up Malam Tukur Mamu at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.

Information Nigeria had reported how Mamu, the Spokesman of Kaduna cleric, Ahmad Gumi, was apprehended by Interpol in Cario, the capital of Egypt, and flown back to Nigeria.

Information Nigeria observed that the Egypt Air aircraft conveying him and his family members, touched down in Kano around 1:55 pm.

The DSS operatives were stationed at the airport’s international wing entrance several minutes before the aircraft landed.

The heavily armed operatives, who were also in the company of others dressed in mufti, were on guard at the entrance of the arrival section of the international wing.

At the same time, the three vehicles with Kano plate numbers (two Hilux and one Hiace) were packed by the entrance.

Soon as passengers began to come out from the arrival section, one of the Hilux moved forward while luggage, presumably of

Mamu and his family members were loaded in one of the other two vehicles.

The two vehicles later moved forward, and the Hiace bus moved into the tarmac area before zooming off together with the other two.

A brother to Mamu said Mamu and his family had indeed been arrested and were being taken to Abuja.

A source at the DSS Abuja office also confirmed that Mamu had indeed been arrested.
