Tobi Amusan To Defend Diamond League Trophy in Zurich

Nigeria sprinter, Tobi Amusan, believes she is in an excellent position to continue her winning streak in Zurich on Thursday.

Tobi was in action at the ISTAF Berlin meeting on Sunday and won the race in 12.45 seconds.

Reigning Nigeria, African, Commonwealth and World 100m hurdles champion took to her Facebook page after the event to express her appreciation to God for winning the third straight visit to Berlin.

She also desires to successfully defend her Diamond League trophy in Zurich at the Diamond League final.

The Sprinter wrote: “Glory to God for today (Sunday’s) victory at the ISTAF Berlin meet. I clocked 12.45s, which was the identical time I ran last weekend (Aug 26) to finish second at the Lausanne Diamond League.

“Next stop is the Diamond League final later this week. Same stadium my winning spree began last year when I became the first Nigerian to win a Diamond League Trophy.

“I look forward to that moment once again. Your will be done, oh Lord.”
