Two Bodies Recovered From Collapsed Lekki Building

Earlier in the day, Information Nigeria reported the tragic news of the collapse of an uncompleted building collapse in Lekki, Lagos, in the early hours of Sunday.

With all hands now on deck to rescue victims from the fallen structure, emergency responders have brought out two dead bodies from the rubble.

The South West Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, made this known to journalists on Sunday in Lagos.

Mr. Ibrahim said the seven-storey building, still under construction, is located at Sand field bus stop, Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lekki.

The Zonal Coordinator said efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining trapped persons under the rubble.

Emergency responders, including the Nigerian Police Force, NEMA, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, State Fire Service, and the Lagos State Building Control Agency, are at the scene.
