Months To 2023 Election, Sanwo-Olu Announces Pay Raise For Lagos Civil Servants

Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a pay raise for civil servants in the state as he seeks for re-election in February.

The governor made the announcement on Tuesday during his visit to the state secretariat in Alausa to meet with the workers.

“I have looked around and I know that as a country, there is pressure,” he said.

“I know that, as a country, there is a high level of inflation.

“At our cabinet meeting, I instructed the head of service office and the ministry of staff, training, and pensions to start work on how we are going to increase the entire salary of our public servants.”

Apart from the increment in salaries, the governor also disclosed that the first phase of distributing official cars to state directors would begin by the end of October with 100 vehicles.
