Abductors of the traditional ruler, Oba Clement Jimoh of Oso Ajowa Akoko in Akoko West Local Government Area of Ondo State, have reached out to the family of the victim, demanding a sum of N100 million to secure his release.
This comes three days after the monarch’s abduction. He was abducted on Thursday at about 10.15 pm from his residence by some armed men who took him to an unknown destination.

A source told Punch that the kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded N100million.
Residents in the community have begun a praying and fasting programme for the release of their Oba.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami, said the men of the command were still in the forest to rescue the monarch.
“Efforts are still ongoing to rescue the victim”, the police spokesperson said.
