From Naijaloft.com Five officers of the nigerian police force were shot and killed by suspected kidnappers at the gate of 7Up Bottling Company in Aba. The kidnappers had been following a white expatriate who was making his way into the compound of the 7up Bottling company.
The driver of the vehicle on seeing the kidnappers drove quickly into the compound of the 7up bottling company while the security men closed the gate shutting out the kidnappers.
The kidnappers in anger retaliated by opening fire on the police who were outside the gate killing three on the spot.
The other two who sustained injuries died on their way to the hospital. The bodies of the dead policemen have been deposited at the mortuary of Abia State University Teaching Hospital.
The white expatriate who was trailed to the company was said to have come to commission projects at the 7up bottling company.
