Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi has gotten a pat on the back from the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi whom he described as a listening leader who fulfills his electoral promises.

Speaking at his palace in Oyo while receiving Ajimobi who led top government officials in the state on a fitness walk, tagged ‘Ajumorin Walk’ in the town, Oba Adeyemi said the governor is a man of honour, and therefore urged the people to support him in transforming the state.

“Governor Ajimobi is a man of honour. He made promises to the people of the state during his electoral campaign and he has started fulfilling them. We should all give him our support in order to continue his transformation programme,” the monarch said.

The governor while appreciating the support of Oba Adeyemi said a satellite campus of the state’s Technical University in Ibadan would be sited in the town, adding that the campuses would be sited in other parts of the state to improve the standard of education in the state.

Before leaving the historical town, the governor inspected the Erelu Water Works in Oyo and promised that temporary measures would be put in place, within six months, to make the facility functional.
