Homicidal parents starved their 9-year-old autistic boy until he died at 16.9 pounds. The poor victim, Jarrod Tutko Jr. was not found until neighbors reported their suspicion.
A neighbor commented, “I feared for the boy’s safety. You imagine all parents should love their kids no matter how they are born, but something seemed very odd about those two. We didn’t see the little boy often because they didn’t allow him out with the rest of the children so the few times I would see the boy he would look much, much thinner!”
Police said they Kimberly A. Tutko lost custody to four of her children in her first marriage. Up until recently, she had five other children to which she had with Tutko.
Initially, Kimberly told police that she had not seen Jarrod Tutko Jr. in a long time but then admitted to seeing him a few days before his death.
