Following his turning 70 today, the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice A.I. Katsina-Alu retired from service as is required in the judiciary upon the attainment of that age. In his place, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Honourable Justice Dahiru Musdapher as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) pending Senate confirmation.
The acting CJN will be sworn-in at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja Monday.
