Unidentified persons in the early hours of Saturday set ablaze the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Student Affairs Office. The fire destroyed vital documents and property worth millions of Naira.

“The fire took us unawares. Nobody knows the cause of the fire.We were all surprised. If not for the quick intervention of fire fighters, it would have spread to our hostels,” a UNN said.

“The people who committed the crime used fuel to set the place on fire.

“The fire destroyed computers, documents and other office equipment in the office of the dean of student affairs.

“UNN security has cordoned off the area to bar people from entering the place,” the eye witness said
