“My mum sold sugarcane to give me the best”, Skales

Empire Mates singer-rapper, Skales (Raoul John Njeng) recently appeared on the Supermum Reality TV show. The 19-year-old singer/rapper appeared on the show along with his mother, Mrs Njeng  who told the story of their survival after being abandoned by the bread winner of their family, when Skales was barely 10.

‘She sold sugar cane, bread and did menial jobs in people’s but she gave me the best of everything I needed’, Skales said.Skales also said his mother resorted to different menial jobs and petty trading during the day, while passing their nights in an abandoned garage.

Skales is presently signed on the Empire Mates Entertainment music label,where Banky W is the boss. He doesn’t have an album out yet, but he has a few good singles to his credit.
