Libya Attacks: America Warns Her Citizens in Nigeria, as IGP Orders “water-tight” Security at Foreign Embassies

Following the attacks on the US Embassies in Libya, Egypt and Yemen, the American Embassy in Nigeria has warned Americans in the country about the threat of attacks by extremist groups.

While the attacks in Cairo and Benghazi are generally believed to have been perpetrated by mobs outraged over an amateur Internet film made in America that insulted Islam, US officials later said the Benghazi attack might have been planned long before now.

Therefore, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Nigeria “Extremists may attempt to target US citizens and other Westerners in Nigeria… The situation in Nigeria remains fluid and unpredictable,” the statement said, urging Americans “to consider their personal security.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar, had, on Wednesday, ordered “24-hour water-tight security” at all foreign embassies in the country.

  1. Yes! We support it and we are ready for any kind of insultation about our religion (ISLAM) and our lovely prophet (MUHAMMAD S.A.W). Let’s do it and see who is going down. ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR
