A honourable member of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Aishatu Ahmed Binani of Yola North/ Yola South/ Girei Constituency in Adamawa State, has built an N18.6m hospital for her constituency.
In a statement released on Monday, Binani said the hospital was part of her campaign promises to her people and she has made good her promise.
The 17-bed-hospital located in Lulu village, Girei Local Government, was inaugurated by wife of the Adamawa State Governor, Halima Murtala-Nyako.
“It was during our campaign tour that women of this community passionately pleaded that all they needed from me was to get them a clinic. They cried out that their children in particular had nowhere nearby to get any needed medical attention,” Binani said.
“Indeed they lamented that as a result of the bad road and distance, several pregnant women had miscarriages when being rushed to the nearest clinic which is about 30 kilometers away”.
