The match between Dynamo Kyiv and SK Karpaty Lv’iv gave the 24- year- old Nigerian forward, Brown Ideye the opportunity of increasing his goal tally in the Ukrainian League.
Ideye who plays alongside two other Nigerians (Taiye Taiwo and Haruna Lukman) got the only goal of the match in the 64th minute, following an assist from the Portuguese international, Miguel Veloso. Dynamo went on to win the match 1- 0 after 90 minutes.
Brown had not scored for Dynamo in the League since returning from the AFCON 2013, that notwithstanding he remains the second highest goal scorer in the Vyshcha Liha with 14 goals from 23 games.
Dynamo Kyiv currently sits on the second place in the log; 19 points behind champions elect Shakhtar Donetsk who has won 23 of their 24 games so far, this season, accumulating a total of 69 points compared to Dynamo’s 50 points.
