57th Anniversary: Nigerian Navy Offers Free Medical Services In FCT

6a71feb078c98ff0a0664a5bac6ff0daMedical personnel drawn from the Nigerian Navy are offering free services and drugs to locals in Pyakasa village, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The free medical services is part of the activities lined up between May 24 and June 1, 2013, to celebrate the 57th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

The Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba represented by the Director Medical services, Rear Admiral Samuel Epelle said “the medical rhapsody programme involves officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy rendering free services to select communities. The services will include; blood pressure checks, eye examination and issuance of free eye glasses where necessary, de-worming exercise for children and adults to mention a few. There will also be public health talks by naval medical experts on such topical issues as HIV/AIDS, malaria as well as environmental, personal and oral hygiene.”
